If you are like me and you cringe at the thought of taking your kids to a clothing store, you probably don’t clothes shop near as much as you used to. Even when I do get a sitter and I go to a store; I usually end up buying my twins a bunch of stuff and hardly a single item for myself. That’s when I discovered how convenient shopping from home can be.
I can browse items online and I tend to keep more to the list of things I need vs. getting distracted by the shiny sparkles unicorn things. In a future post I will share about my experiences with online retailers but today I want to talk about the value of home consultants.
LulaRoe has become very popular in our area with moms because of the convenience factor and the unique patterns they offer. That being said I didn’t know much else about the product so I asked my dear friend Bri who is a consultant with LulaRoe to explain how it works.
Here is the little Q&A session that we had:
Anna: Bri, you obviously liked LulaRoe so much that you decided to become a consultant with them. What is your favorite thing about the brand?
Bri: My favorite thing about the brand would be the unique simplicity of the clothes. Each pattern inventory is different so no two consultants have the same inventory. My neighbor and I can both sell LulaRoe but we don’t compete.
Anna: I always heard about LulaRoe’s buttery smooth leggings but I’m just not into wearing leggings. What else does the brand have to offer me?
Bri: The brand offers a variety of skirts, dresses and shirts for all shapes and sizes. You don’t just have to love leggings to love LulaRoe. (However, if you’re in love with the fabric don’t worry – it is a feature in many of the other items as well.)
Anna: I read that LulaRoe consultants can order a style item and dictate the sizes they want but they have no control over the patterns they receive. Is this how it works and what is the benefit of that?
Bri: I find it is actually an advantage! It is so exciting when new inventory arrives. Also, random patterned stock eased me out of my comfort zone! I used to only wear monochromatic earth tones and then I tried on some LulaRoe just for fun. I was amazed at how much I liked it! I started wearing more colors, more prints and gained more confidence in myself.
Anna: I have twins so laundry is a chore and bore. If it has to be dry cleaned or ironed, I don’t buy it! What are the general washing instructions for LulaRoe products?
Bri: Wash all clothes inside out in cold water with your other delicates and do not put them in the dryer. They maintain their quality best by air drying. They don’t need to be ironed.
Anna: If someone is interested in LulaRoe, how do they go about finding a product and ordering it?
Bri: The only way you can order is by purchasing from a LulaRoe consultant. I can help you join a VIP group page on Facebook where weekly online sales take place. You can also contact me directly to host a party in your home or to host an online party. If you don’t want to host a party but want to shop from home, give me a call and we can schedule a home shopping day! Or, you can come to my home and try stuff on.

I love that Bri has a facebook group where she posts pictures of her inventory during online pop-up parties. This gave me a chance to see ahead of time what styles, patterns and sizes she had in stock and then I asked her to come to my house for me to try them out.
Besides the obvious advantage of having her come to me for convenience sake, I loved the fact that I have immediate access to my own wardrobe so I can see if the items I like go with other items I already own. This is huge to me because I have often bought an item and then brought it home only to find I didn’t have much to match it.
Instead of just telling you about my in-home shopping experience, I thought we could have a little fun by involving YOU in the process! I am posting three pictures of me wearing three different items I loved from LulaRoe. I would like you to comment on which item you think suits me best! In exchange for your help, I will enter you in a drawing to win your own FREE PAIR of LulaRoe one-size-fits-all black leggings!!!!! Don’t worry if you don’t live locally – I will ship them to you at my cost! (LulaRoe also offers Tall&Curvy Leggings so don’t worry – I will make sure the pair you win will fit!)
Option one is this really cute IRMA top in a gorgeous cobalt blue and black. I loved how it looks with jeans or black pants.
Option 2 is the fun and flirty AZURE skirt with a beautiful geometric print.
Option 3 is the adorable NICOLE dress that makes me feel like a pretty lady!
I love the lightweight fabric from which these three pieces are made. The skirt and dress are 96% polyester and 4% spandex and the top is 96% rayon and 4% spandex so they are breathable and comfy. I always wear lightweight clothes and then add layers if needed in the fall/winter.
The leggings you could win!
